What would be your elevator pitch to convince a web-atheist to sign your web-design/marketing agency?

The question might sound absurd to a lot of people. In 2009 one might even feel naive to be thinking of answering this. We have taken for granted that one and all under the blue sky understands, as they do the need of fresh air, the importance of being online.

But when I was asked this question recently, I found myself speaking for 20 minutes in a vacuum. It didn;t help that the questioner was a person with over 40 years offline-marketing experience. He has been heading a reputed educational institution. I preached around the following points( not in the order as written below):-
Brand Enhancement?
Leads?
Web-Presence?
Unavoidable Trend?

And ya, I have not included off the table options, such as, using the website primarily as an institutional newsletter, or, essentially an information point etc.

What would be your elevator pitch to convince a web-atheist to sign your web-design/marketing agency?
